Stenorhynchus seticornis or often-called yellowline arrow crab is a crab that similar with spider that has a triangular body. The color typically reddish brown and covered in white or yellow lines on the shell. They have two small purple claws and reddish brown long thin spider-like legs. The sizes of this crab ranging from 6-10 inches. Yellowline arrow crab usually lives on coral reefs with depths of 10-30 feet. Yellowline arrow crabs appear at night to search food near their shelter. They usually eat algae, detritus, and sometimes tube worms. Arrow crabs that unable to find large prey will eat discarded food by other animals. Grouper, puffers, triggerfishes, wrasses, and grunts are the one that eat this crab.
Reproduction: To deposit a sperm, male yellowline arrow crab holds the female against their belly. Then female yellowline arrow crab carries the eggs under her belly until they’re ready to brood. The emerge young crab called zoea. Zoea have transparent rounded body. They grow and replace their molts with the new skins. After this stage they called megalops. During this time, they growth the body and limbs, starting to look like crab even though their abdomen hasn't folded up yet. Yellowline arrow crab will continue to grow, shed and replacing their exoskeleton until they become adult and able to begin reproduction cycle.
